Therapy

I offer therapy services rooted in cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and deep compassion.

Multicultural Counseling

Multicultural counseling is an approach that recognizes and honors the diverse cultural identities, values, and lived experiences each person brings into the therapy space. This practice centers cultural humility and awareness, allowing clients to explore mental health concerns in ways that reflect their background, traditions, and community context. It acknowledges how systems of oppression, racism, immigration, and generational trauma can impact mental health—and seeks to offer support that is respectful, affirming, and empowering. Multicultural counseling creates a space where all parts of your identity are seen, valued, and included in the healing process.

Expressive Arts as a Therapeutic Tool

Expressive Arts Therapy uses creative processes—such as drawing, movement, writing, music, and storytelling—as powerful tools for healing and self-discovery. I am not an expressive art therapist but I often use it in sessions as a Therapeutic tool. This allows clients to explore thoughts and emotions that may be difficult to express with words alone. Rooted in the belief that creativity is a natural part of being human, expressive arts helps individuals reduce stress, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. It is especially valuable for those who carry complex emotions or have experienced cultural silencing, offering a gentle and affirming pathway to healing.

Mindfulness Based Interventions

Mindfulness-Based Interventions involve practices that help individuals build awareness of the present moment with compassion and curiosity. Rooted in both contemplative traditions and clinical research, these interventions support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. Through techniques like breathwork, guided meditation, and body awareness, clients learn to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Mindfulness can be especially empowering for those navigating trauma, anxiety, or burnout, offering a grounded way to reconnect with the body, calm the nervous system, and move through life with greater clarity and balance.

Our values

My work is grounded in values of authenticity, cultural humility, compassion, and empowerment. I believe in creating spaces where individuals—especially those from historically marginalized communities—feel safe, affirmed, and deeply respected. I honor each client’s lived experience and recognize the strength it takes to show up for healing. Guided by a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens, I strive to walk alongside others with care, curiosity, and a commitment to justice. At the core of my work is a belief in the power of choice, the importance of community, and the healing that comes from being truly seen.

Collaborative Care

Working with me means entering a space built on collaboration, trust, and mutual respect. I believe that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I value your voice as an active part of the therapeutic process. Through a collaborative care approach, we’ll work together to identify your goals, explore your experiences, and develop tools that feel meaningful and sustainable for you. I bring clinical insight and cultural awareness, while honoring your lived wisdom and inner strength. This is your journey—and I’m here to support you with empathy, flexibility, and care every step of the way.
